- Comes with the best battery life
- Crisp True Tone display enhances the visual experience.
REASONS TO AVOID

Specification of reviewed device is: CPU: Apple M2 Chip | GPU: M2 10-core GPU | Display: 15.3-inch Liquid Retina Display (2880 x 1864), 60Hz | Memory: 8GB RAM| Storage: 256GB SSD | Tested Battery life: 1050 minutes | OS: macOS Ventura 13 | Material: Aluminum | Weight: Approximately 3.2 pounds
The first laptop is actually undeniably perfect for any student because of its price, usability, and practicality.
The 2023 MacBook Air is a machine that boots up in seconds (faster than the 2022 M1 MacBook Air). Its screen automatically adjusts to different lighting conditions, so there’s no more squinting at an obnoxious glare on bright days or going through several screens when you’re using it outside.
Apple’s M2-chip powered MacBook Air is designed for the working professional and college student who needs their device to be not only durable but also comfortable enough while they work on projects throughout the day.
The Apple MacBook Air is one of the most lightweight laptops. It weighs only 3.2 pounds, so it’s perfect for students who need to travel a lot in the premises! The 8-core Apple M2 CPU provides twice as much processing power and has made this laptop not just affordable but also surprisingly fast – you won’t be disappointed if you buy it.
Its 10-Core integrated GPU is seen to be a promising technology that shapes the future of computing. The company has been committed to innovation and providing better experiences for all users around the world with their latest advancement in graphics processing power.
Apple has been in the market long enough to know that what computer users want is a machine that can handle any task thrown its way. The 8GB RAM and M2 processor work together seamlessly, ensuring quick access to all of your favorite programs without lag or interference from other functions on the device.
I’ve seen students carrying MacBook Pro but to be really fair, as a student having 2023 MBA is worth every penny.
With 256GB SSD storage, it’s the perfect option for students who don’t like to delete stuff. But hey, there are laptops we reviewed that do have 1TB storage at the same price so yeah but not the end of the world.
There are two variants, 13-inch and 15-inch. But for students, the 15-inch display size is best. MacBook Air makes sure that your eyes never strain and you can see every pixel as clear and crisp as possible with its True Tone technology Display. With a crisper visual experience from the Liquid Retina display in addition to an extended service life of working from home before laptops were available, this is one investment worth making!
If you want a laptop that loads faster, is bloatware-free, reliable, lightweight, and durable then the 2023 MacBook Air is a perfect option. Although it can handle other work like video editing or graphic editing but on a heavy load, it lacks and also it is not for gaming either.
Razer Blade 15 – Windows Laptop For Science Major
REASONS TO BUY
- It has outstanding built quality
- It has an unbelievable keyboard and trackpad
- It has a smooth, slim design with the best aluminum build
- In this, there are plenty of ports
- Upgradable RAM and storage options
- Longevity with relevant hardware for 5 years
REASONS TO AVOID
- Limited battery life due to powerful CPU/GPU
Specification of reviewed device is: CPU: 12th Generation Intel Core i7 12800H | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti | Display: 15.6-inch QHD Display (2560 x 1440), 240Hz | Memory: 16GB DDR5 4800MHz RAM| Storage: 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD | Tested Battery life: 120 minutes | OS: Windows 11 Home | Material: Aluminum | Weight: Approximately 4.4 pounds
Now if you’re a student like me who does study by day and gaming by night then no MacBook Pro or Air can fill the void.
To make it get filled, Razer Blade 15 takes the lead. Equipped with heavy-duty hardware, this laptop can catch anything you can throw at it.
This thin-looking laptop is actually a gaming laptop equipped with Intel Core i7 12800H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU which makes this laptop behemoth itself.
Its 14-core processor is arguably an answer to all of the processing needs. And because it’s a game laptop, the RTX 3070 Ti GPU works like a charm without any overheating issues.
Now the thing that makes this laptop perfect for students is actually its thin design which COMES in Aluminum body. The thinness of this laptop gives direct completion to MacBook as it’s just 0.67 inches.
The color is black which is not painted but electrochemically embedded on the body coming from the Iconic Razer Blade color palette.
Now the thing that everyone and I love about this laptop is actually its upgradability which allows you to upgrade or change its RAM and storage at your will unlike other laptops they are confident in their product.
This is a laptop that will always be by your side for the upcoming 5 years and still will be relevant. Razer Blade 5 is a great option with Windows OS but also note that this laptop IS kinda heavy and not really perfect with battery life because of heavy-duty CPU and GPU.
Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel – Unique Laptop For Biology Majors
REASONS TO BUY
- It is Practical and durable
- All port options are available
- Overloaded with uniqueness
- Perfect for all types of usage
- Comes with Acer Active Stylus for note-taking and drawing
REASONS TO AVOID

- 340 nits brightness may be insufficient for some.
Specification of reviewed device is: CPU: 10th Generation Intel Core i7-10750H | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q | Display: 14-inch Pantone Validated Display (2560 x 1440), 60Hz | Memory: 16GB On-Board DDR4 RAM| Storage: 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD | Tested Battery life: 210 minutes | OS: Windows 10 Home | Material: Magnesium-Aluminum (MgAl) | Weight: Approximately 3.9 pounds
Now if you’re someone who loves doing unique things then Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel is an answer to your laptop-related problems.
With one of the unique designs and usability for students, this Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel appears to be perfect in everything.
Whether you like to draw, play games, design presentations, or note-taking; ConceptD 3 Ezel is an answer to all of your needs.
Equipped with a great CPU (Intel Core i7-10750H) and a not-so-great GPU (GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q), this laptop still can handle most tasks.
But as you can see in the picture above, the most selling feature of this laptop is actually a compact and unique design. Most laptops that come with such design are fanless or made for casual tasks but this machine comes with a fine cooling system that helps the system to handle overheating issues.
You have seen convertible laptops that can be used as laptop, tent, or tablet but this right here can be used not only as laptop, or tablet but in 3 more different positions.
The laptop is actually made up of magnesium-aluminum (MgAl) but Acer colored it with Micro-Arc Oxidation (MAO) material to make it more secure as this laptop is quite compact and can easily sit in your backpack.
There are so many things to talk about about this laptop but it would take the whole day to explain its other features such as Scissor-Switch Keyboard, larger trackpad, beautiful color combination, fingerprint reader, and 14 inch display which is touchscreen but is Pantone Validated (great for students who are video editor).
It comes with Acer Active Stylus, you can take quick notes, draw anything casually or professionally at ease. But things like onboard 16GB RAM make this laptop non upgradable and also its 340 nits of Brightness is not as bright as other laptops in this list such as MacBook Air, Razer Blade 15, or Dell XPS.

Its predecessor always came in 1st to 2nd position in our lists due to advancement in the laptop industry, Dell XPS is now at 4th position because of its price and its competitors who really caught up with Dell XPS series laptops including Apple, HP and now new LG with their Gram series laptops.
But with this laptop, you’ll be able to process your data at record speeds. The latest 11th Generation Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor comes with six cores that will help the system work faster while running heavy software on it. It’s also designed to save power and perform more quickly than previous generations!
Intel Iris Xe Graphics is powerful and won’t freeze or halt the software even when your computer is under heavy load.
After some reviews, Dell introduced 16GB 4267MHz LPDDR4x RAM in this laptop which is a more advanced version of memory and is faster in data calculations, consumes less power for long hours of use or standby mode, while it still has a low voltage consumption that can be used anywhere without any hassle but unfortunately, it’s onboard memory means you can’t upgrade it by yourself.
Dell XPS 15 has an ergonomically designed backlit keyboard that is perfect for people who use their laptops in dark nights. It also designed with the same slim and durable body as MacBook which will give you similar feelings but it comes with larger keyboard deck but some people still miss old carbon fiber palm rest including me but still the new design is welcome.
The Dell XPS 15 is an excellent laptop for those who want the fast-clicking experience that a MacBook has. Its 64-bit Windows 11 operating system allows you to use any programs and it’s better suited to more everyday multitasking like answering emails and writing up essays.
This laptop is actually excellent for multitasking, as it can handle all of your things within one charge. It weighs around 2.8 lbs and has a battery that will last up to 7 hours before needing an additional charge!

This laptop has reliable features like its processor and memory combo, which work to take care of any heavy-duty tasks you need for your business or personal life needs!
Now because this laptop is from Asus, having out-of-the-roof features is a must. This laptop comes with something that is like never seen before in mid-range laptops and that is ScreenPad (the reason I called this laptop as best for students and majors).
ScreenPad is actually a 5.65 inch touchscreen that all to switch apps, do jand writing, slide sheets, become number keys, and is touchpad. Basically, it increases productivity and really unique features just like Touch Bar that we have seen in MacBook Pros.

This last laptop is my colleague’s recommended because as a college student, he uses it every day and finds it nearly perfect for everything.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is not your typical laptop. It can be used as a tablet, or in studio mode just like ConceptD Ezel, this laptop has been specifically designed for the creative types who rely on their laptops to get things done and need more flexibility from it than just being able to sit there staring at a screen all day long.
This convertible laptop is for those who want to complete their studies comfortably because this laptop comes fanless design and is portable so you can use it on your lap, desk, or bed without having worries about laptop vents because it doesn’t have any.

The kickstand is one of the best features on this laptop, giving it a really unique look. The stand makes typing easier and you can view the display more clearly by setting it up on your table or desk using its built-in metal legs.
In a world where most people have their lives on the go, it can be difficult to take time out of your busy schedule for any sort of work. However, when you do get some free time this laptop will make sure that those moments are productive and comfortable. With a 3.3-hour battery life, and a lightweight design at only 1.8 lb, this laptop should be your least option but make sure to note that it costs nearly the same as the 2023 Apple MacBook Air.
